Reading opens up to a tradition, a circle of writers that forms an endless loop of references. Work refers to other works, anyone of which referring to other works. Not every work gets cited, nor even read. Are they still work ?
Reading one article opens up to a field of studies. Reading more articles gets more articles up front to read. Reading every breadcrumb every article leaves behind, even only the abstracts, soon elevates itself to form a wall. The wall of citations gets bigger and bigger everyday.
