Just Stop It

Feeling numb? Lacking plan? Don't panic.

Think about not thinking. Breathe deep. Close your eyes. Look around. Smell the coffee. Forgive and forget. Let it all go.

Meditate, contemplate, take a nap. Listen to your heartbeat. Caress the power of silence with your navel. Observe your humanity. Be thoroughly dead.

Mobilize, use the force, cut the crap. Let your body do the talking. Take a walk, on the wild side if you must. Jump. Throw away stuff. Dance. Cook. Sing. Send postcards. Shower. Shave. Floss. Please yourself.

Keep faith. Desire, energy, and inspiration will come back soon enough. If not, write about your writing block.
